Smart Technology Consultant

We are seeking a Smart Technology Consultant to join our team at Cordless Consultants. In this role, you will provide fee-earning consultancy services to clients throughout the design and implementation stages of workplace projects, including initial requirements gathering and use case definition, solution design, specification, procurement, construction management, and eventual sign-off. You will be expected to contribute to the development of the workstream within the business primarily by way of delivery of valued smart solutions within client projects, but also by researching emerging smart technology solutions.

To be successful in this role, you should have strong knowledge in smart building industry trends, products, and services, and ideally be qualified as a SmartScore AP. You should also have a broad technical background with a strong understanding of the impact of new technology on the workplace and change, and a good understanding of hybrid working driven or enabled by new and emerging technology. You should be able to communicate technology in easy-to-understand language and have excellent technical writing skills.
Key responsibilities:

• Provide smart consultancy services to design, procure, and install smart and innovative solutions
• Contribute to the development of the business’s knowledge and understanding of new and emerging technology
• Assist clients in requirements and budget assessment
• Use industry standard tools and processes to deliver projects in a structured and methodical manner
• Record and report information to provide a clear audit trail
• Research and communicate new technologies and developments to the wider Cordless Consultants team

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge in smart building industry trends, products, and services
• Qualification as a SmartScore AP (preferred)
• Broad technical background with a strong understanding of the impact of new technology on the workplace and change
• Good understanding of hybrid working driven or enabled by new and emerging technology
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate technology in easy-to-understand language and excellent technical writing skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Highly structured approach to project delivery using industry standard tools and processes
• Highly ordered and methodical, with the ability to record and report information to provide a clear audit trail
